Details Of The Prime Mutual Card Application

Author: Beth Derkowitz

The Prime Mutual Card is a prepaid MasterCard that is issued by New Millennium Bank for those who are unable to obtain a standard unsecured credit card. A bank account is required for funding when you apply on line with these advance payments being used against future purchases that you make with the card. After the initial payment, future advance payments can be funded directly from the cardholder's paycheck each pay period. It can also be funded with a credit card, debit card, checking account, or a cash deposit at any authorized location that can handle Heritage Payment Processor or retail distributor. A fee is assessed each time the card is loaded and can vary from $1.75 for direct deposits to $1.95 to $5.95 for reloading at Heritage payment locations.

There is no interest or annual fee applied to the account, but the first year's fees total $221.35, which includes a $59.95 application fee, a processing fee of $90, and a minimum deposit of $10. Additionally, There is a participation fee of $5.95 per month. There is a cash advance fee of $1.95 for domestic ATM withdrawals, $4.95 for international ATM deposits, and $4.50 for non-ATM withdrawals.

Very few qualifications are required for this card compared to other unsecured cards. No credit checks, security deposits, or employment are required. A United States address that can be verified is the only requirement. Cardholders are also given a free 30-day trial membership to the Credit Builder Elite Status Member privileges which includes access to your credit report, roadside assistance, discount card for prescriptions, and the opportunity of having the card report to one of the major credit bureaus. After the trial period, the charge is $19.95 per month to continue with the service.

For those who want the flexibility of a pre-paid card and don't mind paying the fees associated with it, the Prime Mutual Card is a solution to the high-interest credit cards. There are a few benefits associated with it, but most are not free.
