In the United States we sure have it easy. We seem to get very worked up over this West Nile Virus, but imagine having the problems of some of the rest of the world as they deal with Malaria? Malaria, that is a real problem, with much worse effects than West Nile Virus. The CDC warns travelers who travel south to Central America to get shots in advance. The history of malaria is of interest as well. Some church groups call this international terrorism by bugs and have solutions, that are quite extreme indeed;

Many are concerned that someone like Osama Bin Laden may bring over mosquitoes with malaria and deliver them to a dry an arid region of the US, and right now that would certainly be a lot of places. Then you can join the war on terrorism by joining your local mosquito abatement district and swatting the little bastards. What other biological evils lurk out there, the real tiny international terrorists?
