One of the most important features of a DVD recorder is its user-friendliness. You should be able to easily drag and drop images, videos and audio files from your hard disk. It should also make transferring from a digital video camcorder easy. You should also be able to add additional content to the disc, like texts or html pages that be read by any computer.

Be sure to shop around before zooming in on a DVD recorder. Compare specifications and prices. Its also a good idea to read user reviews about different brands on the Internet. Invest only in DVD encoders that get the thumbs up not only from digital video experts but average end-users as well. Some computer systems come with built-in DVD encoders.
