The Sutras are near and dear to me ever since I met a Sutra designer whose husband was an Arhat or Rishi. The Sutra they developed was in mountain-climbing and I never did this with them, but I can well imagine the discipline it would take. I did experience Bhakti with her.

To the brilliant champion of the Path of Devotion, Devarshi Narada, God-Love is superior to all other methods of sadhana known to us from our sacred Scriptures. Of the innumerable techniques prescribed by the Rishis the most famous and also the most popular are of course the path of selfless dedicated service (Karma), the path of discriminative knowledge which would dispel the ignorance of the nature of the Self (Gyana), and the mystic path of self-development through disciplined contemplation (Yoga). Compared with these techniques, according to Sri Narada, true devotion for the Lord (Bhakti) {And we must remember that all gods or other heavenly characters are representative deities that reflect on the actual reality of our multiverse.} is superior and nobler, because, devotion is the final outcome of all the other methods of self-improvement. And to withhold orgasm and travel into and out of a place where sexual union may take the attuned person is a joy of great learning. This place of soul and spirit is so vast and awesome that it is no wonder that many ancient systems of learning including Tantra have thought they met or knew of god afterwards.
