Are you ready for the future? If you think George Orwell's 1984 was a scary thought to contemplate did you have seen nothing yet. In the future we will have infrared tracking of every single human, animal in living creature on this planet. Today we track every single airliner, aircraft or potential incoming missile. The new modern battlespace in the net-centric war and the theories thereof will bring about transfer technologies, which will be used by governments to track people.

Part of a Nations national security and border policies will include thermal identification and infrared tracking. We will also track endangered species in this manner. We will attract birds in migrating flocks using infrared. In the age of West Nile virus and the impending H5N1 bird flu these technologies will be deployed soon.

It is therefore only a matter of time before we use infrared tracking to track all human movement all on it around the surface of the planet Earth. For a national security standpoint it makes sense but from a civil rights in constitutional standpoint it scares the bejesus out of even the most loyal American. As a futurist many do complain of such predictions, but in making such predictions it is possible to wake people up to such facts and thus prevent such potential eventualities.
